The European Commission announced on December 1, 2022 the largest ever public consultation on the past, present and future of the Research and Innovation Funding Programs 2014-2027.
Overall, the consultation is expected to contribute to the final evaluation of Horizon 2020, the interim evaluation of Horizon Europe and will lay the groundwork for the preparation of the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-2027.

They highlight the positive elements but also the weaknesses of the Horizon 2020 Program and evaluate the procedures related to the submission of proposals and the management of funding in the context of project implementation.
Express opinions regarding the design and implementation of “Horizon Europe” to date.
Identify the future priorities in the framework of the preparation of the Strategic Plan of “Horizon Europe” 2025-2027, providing information on future needs in the field of research and innovation, on possible synergies between EU Programs, etc.
The consultation will be open for 12 weeks, until 23 February 2023. Questions, open and closed, are available in English, German and French and answers can be given in all EU languages.
