The Scientific Council of the European Research Council (ERC), announced its intention to proceed with two important changes in the frame of the 2024 ERC Work Programme, expected to be adopted by the European Commission in early summer 2023.
The first change concerns the restructuring of the evaluation panels and the addition of a new panel, in the frame of the Scientific Council’s continuous effort to ensure the high quality of the ERC evaluation. The purpose is to ensure the workload balance between panels, the disciplinary coherence and the place of interdisciplinary research in the panel structure.
More specifically, the changes include a new title for LS3, a new subtitle and descriptors for LS5 and the addition of panel SH8. The new structure and rationale for the changes are presented in the links below:
