The Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy (MDP) invites interested parties to submit an Expression of Interest request to secure an intention to commit on the part of the Republic of Cyprus to grant complementary funding from national resources, an amount equal to the funding of the European Commission (€ 8-15 million per project), for the creation or upgrading of Centers of Excellence within the framework of the Call for Proposals HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-ACCESS-01 of the Action Teaming for Excellence, of the Horizon Europe Program. The intention to commit to grant additional funding on the part of the Republic of Cyprus will be given through a Letter of Intent from the YEKPSP during the first stage of submitting the proposals to the European Commission. The Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy (MDP) intends to provide Letters of Intent for co-financing to interested parties from Cyprus and to proposals that meet the following criteria that reflect national R&D priorities: a) relevance to the policy axes and strategic objectives of the Cyprus Resilience and Recovery Plan 2021-26 and the Long-Term Economic Strategy for Cyprus “Vision 2035” and b) cooperation and synergies with the stakeholders of the Cypriot R&D ecosystem.
