The European Research Council (ERC) has selected the network of organizations that will support journalists to visit research organizations in Europe as part of the ERC Journalism Initiative. The project, which was selected following a relevant ERC call for proposals, has the acronym FRONTIERS and will receive €1.5 million to support 40 science journalists in the period 2023-2027 to visit research groups of their choice, working on issues that interest them. In particular, through the project, journalists’ visits to institutions will be funded, training will be provided on the independent and ethically responsible coverage of scientific issues and mutual learning between researchers and journalists will be promoted. The project, among other things, will also result in a list of ethical principles, good practices and guidelines for journalistic scholarship. Further details in the Greek text.
