CETPartnership Joint Call 2024

Summary

The CETPartnership Joint Call 2024 is a 2 stage-call structured with 10 Call modules, addressing different energy technology and system challenges as well as different RDI approaches, thus complementing, and completing each other. Transition Initiatives (TRI) developed Call Modules based on their strategic topics and content, allowing to cover the whole spectrum of their specific SRIA challenges.

Detailed Call Description

The CETPartnership Joint Call 2024 is supported by 44 national and regional Funding Organisations from EU Member States and Associated Countries to Horizon Europe and five international partners. The Greek funding agency supports the following actions:

  • CM2024-01 Data spaces and interoperability: This Call Module will fund a pilot of an IT framework consisting of software services, which will enable the interoperable connection of data spaces at multi-lateral and cross-sector level. The aim of the pilot project is to demonstrate the potential for multi-lateral data exchange and sharing by building on existing solutions, also in other sectors like healthcare or mobility sector, to show the potential benefits and added value of an EU-wide large-scale IT framework.
  • CM2024-02: Energy system flexibility: renewables production, storage and system integration: This joint Call Module aims to address key aspects of the clean energy transition ranging from the integration of renewable energy sources into the power grids, considering storage as a possible solution to deal with their intermittent nature, to broad technological and market aspects as well as approaches towards system integration.
  • CM2024-04: Carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS). The Call Module supports projects to develop and implement CCUS technologies, primarily in the industrial and energy sector. Funded projects are expected to have a significant contribution to the green transition and lead to significant CO2 emission reduction by 2030 and pave way for net zero CO2 emissions from 2050 and onwards.
  • CM2024-05: Hydrogen and renewable fuels. This Call Module aims to accelerate the substitution of fossil fuels by facilitating the development and implementation of technologies for effective and efficient production, distribution, storage and end-use of hydrogen (blue and green), and renewable and advanced fuels, including aspects related to security of supply, through support to research and innovation activities. Funding will be available for research and innovation projects targeting development and adoption of technologies for effective production, transport, storage and end-use of hydrogen and renewable fuels, including security aspects.

The Call Modules describe specific topics and/or challenges that applicants shall address in their project proposals. Applicants must choose and apply to a specific Call Module, when submitting their project proposal through CETPartnership Application System online . Evaluation and ranking of the project proposals will be performed separately per Call Module.

The first deadline for the submission of pre- proposals under this call is 21 November 2024, 14h00 (Brussels time). The second deadline for full proposal submission (upon invitation) is 02 April 2025, 14h00 (Brussels time).
