The Fund will contribute to reach a high level of security in the EU, in particular by preventing and combating terrorism, radicalisation, serious and organised crime and cybercrime, by assisting and protecting victims of crime, and by preparing for, protecting against and effectively managing security-related incidents, risks and crises.
This topic supports Common Operational Partnerships with competent authorities of third countries of origin and transit along migratory routes towards the EU. Priority would be given to the main routes identified in the renewed EU Action plan against migrant smuggling (2021-2025).
For this topic priority should be given to Common Operational Partnerships along the main migratory routes, in particular, the Eastern Mediterranean and Western Balkans route, Silk Route and North and West Africa migratory routes.
