Invitation 2023 – Certification/Renewal of the Erasmus Charter (ECHE)

Summary

The call for accreditation/renewal of the Erasmus Charter aims to accredit recognized higher education institutions (HEIs) located in eligible countries, so that they can participate in Erasmus+ program activities, such as the Learning Mobility of individuals (Key Action 1) and/or the Collaborative Partnerships (Key Action 2) to exchange good practices and develop innovation.

Detailed Call Description

The award of the Erasmus Charter is valid for the entire duration of the Erasmus+ programming period (2021-2027) and until the completion of the projects financed within the said programming period. It is noted that ECHE holders will be subject to regular monitoring by the National Service of their country. The award of the ECHE does not automatically entail any direct funding under the Erasmus+ programme.

Eligibility For Participation Notes

To be eligible, the applicant organization must:

be a public or private institution of higher education recognized by the national authority of their country. On completion of the application for accreditation, the National Services will be asked by the Education Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) to confirm that the candidate institutions are recognized in their countries.
the ITE facilities are located in one of the countries of the Erasmus+ program (EU member states, EEA countries and accession countries)

All institutions will be subject to the Full Procedure, so part B of the application must be completed in its entirety.
