The objective of this 2nd Open Call is to attract the best candidates able to create educational content and validate the platform, as well as the technologies developed in the project, with students (schools or professional training services).
MASTER (Mixed reality ecosystem for teaching robotics in manufacturing) is a Research and Innovation Action (RIA) project, funded by the European Commission, that looks at the intersection of both technologies: robots and XR. The objective of MASTER is to boost the XR ecosystem for teaching and training of robotics in manufacturing by providing an Open XR platform that integrates key functionalities for creating safe robotic environments, programming flexible robotic applications (programming by demonstration in flexible robotic application development) and integrating advanced interaction mechanisms (innovation in gaze-based interaction).
The call will request applicants to address and solve any of the proposed challenges, or to propose their own challenge, within the scope of the MASTER project. Partners from the MASTER consortium will provide technical and educational mentoring to each application during the whole execution period. The execution of winning projects proposed by third parties (Applications) will last for 9 months, which will include both the design of the educational material and their implementation into the MASTER-XR platform. The last 4 months will include the educational validation of the results.
Open Call 2 applications will receive, at the beginning of their execution period, training on the XR tools and didactic materials developed during Open Call 1, and on the use of the platform in which the tools and materials are included.
The expected duration of participation is 9 months and will be split in 3 stages:
The maximum amount of financial support for each application is €100.000.
