The main objective of Preparatory Actions is to prepare future EU actions in various priority policy fields.
Under the Annual Work Programme for the implementation of Pilot Projects and Preparatory Actions in the areas of education, youth, sport and culture, a new call has opened for the submission of proposals with the title “Preparatory action – Bottom-up Policy Development for Culture & Well-being in the EU”.
The proposed preparatory action shall facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experience and success stories in the EU, related to the role of culture for well-being and health.
The action shall allow mapping of the most relevant existing practices in this regard, including those that are financed by European programmes, and building up the capacity of local actors to effectively benefit from culture as a means to increase wellbeing and health, with a special focus on mental health.
The action will also carry out small-scale pilot work on the ground on ways of cooperating across sectors in order to enhance the well-being of individuals and communities. The preparatory action should in the first place establish and explore synergies with existing policies and programmes as well as with past, ongoing and planned actions.
In order to be eligible, proposals must be submitted by applicants meeting the following criteria:
