The PRIMA Joint Programme, by funding Research & Innovation through competitive calls, aims to build research and innovation capacities and to develop knowledge and common innovative solutions for agro-food systems, to make them sustainable, and for integrated water provision and management in the Mediterranean area, to make those systems and that provision and management more climate resilient, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally and socially sustainable, and to contribute to solving water scarcity, food security, nutrition, health, wellbeing and migration problems upstream.
This Call for Proposals concerns proposals submitted to the Call: Section 2 of PRIMA Programme, specifically in the following thematic areas:
The project proposals that will be selected for funding within the framework of this Call for Proposals are implemented by Transnational Consortia. Each consortium partner is funded by its national/regional Funding Agency according to its national/regional participation rules and procedures.
In addition, the PRIMA Joint Programme applies its own rules and procedures for Proposal submission, evaluation and selection, specified in the PRIMA Call Text and Supporting Information – Call Section 2, and in the PRIMA 2020 – Guidelines for Applicants – Section 2, which can be found on the Network’s website (http://prima-med.org/).
For the present Call the following specific conditions, which are not defined in the RESTART 2016-2020 Work Programme, apply:
RIF will support activities for all the topics specified in PRIMA Call Text and Supporting Information- Call Section 2.
Duration of the project: 36 months.
It is noted that, at the contract preparation phase the Coordinators of the Cypriot Consortia in the selected Proposals will be requested, to submit additional information and complete forms concerning the role and the activities that the Cypriot Consortium will undertake during the project implementation.
Proposals that will be submitted under this call must be submitted centrally to PRIMA by April 21, 2021 but also to the National Funding Agencies of each partner in the proposal. For Cyprus, the competent National Funding Agency for this call is the Research and Innovation Foundation and proposals must be submitted by April 28, 2021.
