Programme Description
The second Policy Axis seeks to make a significant contribution to green transition and environmental sustainability, through the achievement of national targets for climate neutrality, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. It promotes reforms in the fields of climate and energy, sustainable transport, water resources management and the wider environment.
This axis is also the most important in terms of the overall contribution of the Plan to the climate targets, which reaches 41% of the total budget of the Plan, with actions over €500 million that are diffused in almost all policy areas.

The Support Scheme aims to
- Promote the use of electric vehicles and their charging from alternative energy sources.
- Collect data on the use/charging of electric vehicles and/or plug-in hybrid vehicles in Cyprus.
- Achieve the national targets in the field of green development.
Detailed Call Description
The Scheme covers the following categories of investments:
CATEGORY A:
For charging an electric vehicle or a plug-in hybrid vehicle- Category A covers:
- the installation/ expansion of a photovoltaic metering system (net-metering)
- the installation of smart meters in homes and
- the installation of a charging point (optional)
CATEGORY B:
For charging an electric vehicle or a plug-in hybrid vehicle in a home where a photovoltaic metering system (net-metering) is already installed- Category B covers:
- the installation of smart meters
- the installation of a charging point
CATEGORY C:
For charging an electric vehicle or a plug-in hybrid vehicle in a home where a photovoltaic metering system (net-metering) is already installed- Category C covers:
- the installation of smart meters
Call Total Budget

The Scheme provides financial incentives in the form of state grants for the following categories of investments:
CATEGORY A: Maximum Grant: € 2,250
CATEGORY B: Maximum Grant: € 1,250
CATEGORY C: Maximum Grant: € 750

Eligibility For Participation Notes
Natural person permanently residing in Cyprus who cumulatively meet the following conditions:
- the electricity bill of the house is issued in his/her name.
- either himself/herself or another person with whom he or she is first-degree relative and who is resident in the same household, are owners of an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle. For the purposes of this Scheme, first-degree relative includes: Parents, children, spouse, father/mother-in-law, son/daughter-in-law.
- a photovoltaic metering system (net-metering) is already installed in their house
