    There is a need for policy coordination to advance the implementation of the ERA gender equality and inclusiveness objectives within Member States, Associated Countries and among other ERA stakeholders, building on the commitment expressed through the Ljubljana Declaration on gender equality in research and innovation.

    This action focuses on the development of a sustainable network of national representatives from all EU Member States and Associated Countries, both from national bodies (e.g., ministries) and from national research funding organisations, to support the implementation of the gender equality and inclusiveness objectives of the ERA.

    CLIMAte risk and vulnerability Assessment framework and toolboX (CLIMAAX), is a Horizon Europe project that will provide financial and practical support to carry out regional climate risk analyses to improve climate and emergency risk management plans. CLIMAAX builds its activities upon existing state-of-the-art risk assessment frameworks, methods and tools, and promotes the use of datasets and service platforms for local and regional scale deployment. It fosters an inclusive, harmonized and robust approach to undertaking, or pursuing, the assessment of climate risk through a Framework for climate risk assessment and a supporting climate change multi-risk assessment Toolbox.

    It is expected that Networks of Towns projects reflect on a holistic narrative for Europe, one that is citizen-oriented, equality promoting, forward-looking and constructive that would be more engaging for the younger generation in particular. Projects may be based on the outcome of citizens’ consultations and may lead to debates about concrete ways to create a more democratic Union, to enable citizens to re-engage with the EU and to develop a stronger sense of ownership of the European project.

    Networks of Towns should provide towns and municipalities the possibility to deepen and intensify their cooperation and debate in a long-term perspective, to develop sustainable networks and to outline their long-term vision for the future of European integration.

    This is a call (contest) for an EU recognition prize in the field of gender equality and inclusiveness. The “EU Award for (Academic) Gender Equality Champions” is a Prize scheme meant as a booster and complement to the requirement for higher education and research organisations applying to Horizon Europe to have in place a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) as an eligibility criterion, and a tool for advancing inclusive gender equality plans and policies in the framework of the new ERA policy agenda.

    Small-scale Partnerships are designed to widen access to the programme to small-scale actors and individuals who are hard to reach in the fields of school education, adult education, vocational education and training, youth and sport. With lower grant amounts awarded to organisations, shorter duration and simpler administrative requirements compared to the Cooperation Partnerships, this action aims at reaching out to grassroots organisations, less experienced organisations and newcomers to the Programme, reducing entry barriers to the programme for organisations with smaller organisational capacity. This action will also support flexible formats – mixing activities with transnational and national character although with a European dimension – allowing organisations to have more means to reach out to people with fewer opportunities. Small-scale Partnerships can also contribute to the creation and development of transnational networks and to fostering synergies with, and between, local, regional, national and international policies.

    The Scheme aims to mitigate unemployment among young people aged 15 to 29 years old who are not participating in an education or training programme and to sustainably integrate young people into the labour market by placing them in subsidised jobs and gaining work experience combined with two-month training. The Project is included in the Recovery and Resilience Plan and is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, the central instrument of NextGenerationEU, the temporary instrument to finance the EU’s recovery and exit from the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
